Laboratory Transfer/Relocation

Site Relocation

Relocating a site, transferring a laboratory, or a research space is a delicate operation that requires methodical organization, complete mastery of the products and equipment to be moved, and a thorough understanding of scientific and regulatory constraints.

SAFETYLOG supports organizations of all sizes in the secure transfer of their sensitive products, equipment, samples, and inventory. Whether it’s for an intra-site relocation, an inter-site transfer, a laboratory consolidation, a pilot line transfer, or a site closure,

We handle everything from preparation to setup at the new site, including transportation, temperature control, and securing hazardous or regulated products.

A fully managed laboratory transfer from start to finish

Project analysis and preparation

The project begins with a thorough analysis of the equipment and the technical, regulatory, and operational constraints to precisely define the scope of the transfer, identify risks, and ensure business continuity objectives.

A detailed inventory of instruments, furniture, and infrastructure is then conducted to identify critical equipment and determine necessary requalifications.

Transport, recommissioning, and validation

Transportation is carried out under controlled conditions, using specific handling and transport equipment that incorporates vibration control, temperature maintenance, shock absorption, and equipment traceability.

Upon arrival at the new site, the equipment is positioned, connected, and adjusted, then undergoes functional checks to ensure its recommissioning under optimal conditions.

Finally, tests and qualifications are performed as needed, including IQ/OQ phases. The transfer documentation is formalized, and the teams are supported until the complete and safe restart of operations.

Organization and security of operations

Based on this, a detailed schedule is developed, with precise phasing of operations and close coordination of internal and external stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met and minimize the impact on operations.
Sensitive equipment and samples are then disconnected, purged, secured, and packaged according to appropriate procedures to guarantee their integrity throughout the transfer.
